Triniti Jurex has successfully defended the rights of the private limited liability company DABALTA IR KO to the European Union trademark “EW.” The European fashion giant WE Fashion, with over 240 stores in Europe, opposed the registration of DABALTA’s trademark in the EU, contending that the mark “EW” is confusingly similar to WE Fashion’s mark “WE.”
This dispute demanded not only knowledge of intellectual property law but also negotiation skills and a creative approach. Triniti Jurex’s IP team effectively persuaded WE Fashion that the marks could coexist and reached an amicable settlement, thereby protecting the client’s rights to register and use the trademark.
