TRINITI JUREX represented the Lithuanian medtech startup “Ligence” in raising over EUR 3 million in investment

We are pleased to contribute to the advancement of medical technologies and support the improvement of healthcare. Our team assisted the Lithuanian startup “Ligence” in securing an investment of more than EUR 3 million, which will be used to develop a heart disease diagnostics solution. The medtech startup is developing AI-based software designed to automate image analysis in cardiac ultrasound procedures, helping cardiologists analyze images more accurately and make well-founded decisions.

The primary investor in this funding round is the venture capital fund manager “Simpact Ventures” from Poland. Also participating in the round were Lithuania’s venture capital firm “Coinvest Capital,” which had previously invested in “Ligence,” the European Innovation Council, Estonia’s venture capital company “Lemonade Stand,” the business angel syndicate NGL, and private investor Rita Sakus.

We believe that this investment is just an intermediate step for “Ligence” in achieving its ambitious goals. As “Ligence” CEO Arnas Karužas states: “The world’s biggest killer is cardiovascular disease, and one of the primary diagnostic methods for it is cardiac ultrasound, which means this technology deserves more attention. Our society is aging, the number of comorbidities is increasing, and we continue to fight various risk factors, making accurate and rapid heart disease diagnostics more important than ever.”
