Force majeure within the meaning of COVID-19 – existing contracts and current contracts
On Wednesday, March 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 a pandemic. Due to the increasing prevalence of COVID-19 and the increasing number of people infected, contract compliance problems are getting more and more problematic. Therefore, the question of whether COVID-19 is a case of force majeure, which would make it excusable for the debtor’s breach, has become very relevant and important for every company.
